Our team dedicates itself not only to providing the highest level of service in our field, but also to improving the lives through combating the drug overdose epidemic and assisting medical practitioners in implementing meaningful testing programs.

Essential Duties:

In this role, you will be responsible for processing samples and performing tests on chemistry, hematology, endocrinology and ELISA instrumentation.

  • Initiate instrumentation

  • Run and approve calibration and controls per lab protocols

  • Prepare, run and approve all samples

  • Reject samples if needed and communicate rejection to team

  • Maintain reagent inventory and track expiration dates

  • Perform routine maintenance on instruments daily/ weekly

  • Complete and initial QC and procedure manual books 

  • Submit monthly quality assurance documents to technical supervisor

  • Contact tech support in case of instrument maintenance need

  • Assist with accessioning of samples

  • Address any changes in Lab Information System (LIS) and assist with any queries

  • Maintain lab organization and cleanliness

  • Follow COLA/CLIA guidelines to perform testing of instrument


  • Education: Minimum of Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Lab Sciences, Medical Technician, Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, or Life Sciences is preferred but not required.

  • Licensure or Certification: ASCP Certification preferred (either MT or MLT)


  • Experience: Minimum of two years of industry experience, including instrumentation. Experience in an accredited laboratory COLA/CLIA/CAP/ISO.

  • Skills: Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office, and Excel


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently performs work while standing, walking or sitting

  • Wear of personal protective equipment is required: gloves, lab coat and protective face wear

  • This is a Monday through Friday, 5am – 9pm position; however employee must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Occasionally required to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds.

  • Required to communicate and interact with employees and donors
